| Roy bought his TE71 in factory condition. He soon got stuck into the panel-work, removing all rust and smoothing it all out ready for a fresh coat of Toyota blue/blue-pearl paint. The toyota 13" alloys were removed and new 16x7" OZ wheels with 195/45/16 ZR tyres were fitted. | |
| The TE71 came factory fitted with a 2T-G 1588cc DOHC with 40mm Mikuni/Solex sidedrafts. The pod filter and extractors were installed. Swapping gears are taken care of by the T50 5speed and put to the wheels via a std 6.7" disk brake diff with LSD! | |

entered in the yearly car show ...which attracted plenty of attention! |

| After a lot of searching through engine importers and wreckers, there were no 3TGTE to be found in Norway!... so Roy started searching abroad for his engine.. and once received - didn't waste time getting the conversion underway. After a little while a BOV and an MA70 Supra intercooler were installed. A boost bleed tap was added along with an intercooler sprayer and so boost pressure is now adjustable. 1bar pressure is quite impressive! The std 6.7" diff is still holding up to the extra power but the T50 unfortunately has had one breakage after a years use behind the 3tgte | |
| The engine bay now looks like this after some detailing and a tidy up prior to a show day. If you didn't know... the word 'Corolla' means: "a flower of a crown". | |
